What are your adoption fees?
Because we rescue everything from tiny kittens to wiggly puppies to the occasional “how did you get here?” critter, our adoption fees can vary. Send us an email at contact@cactusranchrescue.com and we’ll happily let you know the fee for the specific animal you’re interested in!
Can you transport?
Dogs and cats, yes! We can arrange transport, but please note it typically adds about $350 to the adoption fee. The exact cost depends on what vetting the dog still needs, required health certificates, and transport distance. We’re happy to go over details for any specific pup!
How do I apply to adopt?
Head to the Animals page in the top left of your screen to view all of our adoptable animals. Scroll down to find our adoption application and submit it when you're ready to welcome a new friend!
How do I apply to foster?
Click the Animals page in the top left of your screen, then scroll down to find our foster application. Fill it out, and we’ll be in touch shortly!
What types of animals do you rescue?
In short? If it has fur, feathers, scales, or vibes—it’s probably been through our doors. We mostly rescue dogs, but we also take in small animals, reptiles, quirky critters, and the occasional “I didn’t know this lived in Texas” surprise guest. Basically, if an animal needs help and fits in a foster home (or at least mostly fits), we’re here for it!
Can I surrender an animal?
Possibly! We review each surrender form to make sure we have a safe and appropriate foster placement available. We do charge a surrender fee—$50 for fully vetted animals and $100 for animals that still need vetting. This helps cover their care and medical needs as they transition into our program.
