Cactus Ranch Rescue began in 2018 on a small ranch in Elgin, Texas, with a simple goal: help animals who had nowhere else to go. What started as a small, hands-on rescue effort has grown into a foster-based 501(c)(3) organization now serving Bryan/College Station and communities across Texas.

Our mission is to provide compassionate rescue, veterinary care, rehabilitation, and responsible placement for companion animals and exotics facing abandonment, neglect, overcrowded shelters, medical needs, or other difficult circumstances. We believe every animal deserves to be treated as an individual, given the care they need, and placed in a home where they can truly thrive.

Today, Cactus Ranch Rescue works through a network of fosters, volunteers, veterinary partners, transporters, adopters, and donors. We rescue dogs, cats, and exotic animals, provide necessary medical treatment and preventative care, support foster families with supplies and resources, educate the community about responsible pet ownership and spay/neuter, and help connect animals with families locally and nationwide.

We may have traded the ranch for Bryan, but the heart of the mission has never changed: step in where help is needed, advocate for the animals in our care, and give as many of them as possible the safe, healthy, loved future they deserve.
